My love for dance began at the young age of 5yrs old in the world of West African dancing as a little "African Queen". I grew to love and master in the art form, and eventually evolved into a young woman through the eyes of the stage. I went on to study other genres of dance (i.e. Hip-Hop, Jazz, Ballet, etc.), in which I grew to love them just as much!! It is through life's experiences and obstacles that I have come to realize that I not only want to be an advocate for young ladies, but I also want to share my craft and love of dance with them as well; while substituting as a constructive outlet during troublesome times.

Feline Finesse Dance Company, est 2014, is a youth sisterhood stemming from the origins of the Bayview-Hunters Point community, San Francisco. Our mission is to create a safe haven for all young ladies to freely, creatively, and artistically express themselves through dance while empowering them to reach their full potential, goals and dreams. We self-identify thru genres of Hip-hop and West African; but most importantly, we philosophize a sisterhood of love and self-respect. We not only teach choreography, but we educate our young ladies in dance fundamentals, technique and overall etiquette.

In 2018, we were blessed with the opportunity to collaborate with A. Phillip Randolph Institute SF Chapter in which we proceeded to go under fiscal sponsorship of the organization. This connection opened up so many doors of support and connections - some of which include San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department, San Francisco Parks Alliance, San Francisco City & County District 10, Kayaks Unlimited, and a few others.

 

In 2020, we were gifted space through the partnership of Economic Development On Third and finally received our dream studio. We have been working extremely hard to not only officially make it home for us but for our community as well, and so many other youth alike.

 

Our company currently holds young ladies of all shapes and sizes; ages ranging from 5y to 17y. Feline Finesse is a company of unity and integrity. We welcome young ladies from all walks of life, while enforcing a STRONG ANTI-BULLYING POLICY and encouraging a strict KNOWLEDGE IS POWER pledge.

The "House of Finesse" located on 3rd St in Bayview-Hunters Point - offers dance classes, team building, private lessons, company rehearsals, health & wellness activities, and private events.

​

Company Services include, but not limited to:

• Choreography (skill building)

• Team building (sisterhood socials)

• Training (fitness, self defense, martial arts, etc.)

• Performances (city/state wide, battle, etc.)

• Community Involvement (giving back and collaboration)

• Homework socials (rehearsals with a classroom twist; library visits)

• Competition(s) (including National level)

• Parades
